¡Productos Nuevos!

For those of you who don't habla español, the title translates to "New products!".

And with that now established, folks, go ahead and make your way over to our gallery and check out two brand new Fourth Street creations for our homeboys Cory Goonan (Minus Two Degrees) and Walker Janelle (Danger Death Ray). The drums are AWESOME!

And by "awesome", we don't mean like a Beverly Hills Cop marathon on Comedy Central "awesome" (which is still rrrrrreally sweet); it's "awesome" like Kristy Swanson in a wet t-shirt contest "awesome."

Get it? Good. Now go observe, desire and place an order.

Thank you very much, and happy new year.

Hugs and kisses,

Fourth Street Drum Co.

P.S.: If you have a problem with Kristy Swanson, go order your drums from Toys R Us.

DANGER DEATH RAY Record!!

Our new favorite person, Walker Janelle has sent us some very ear pleasing tunes which are on their new EP titled "Wake up and smell the Moses". We like it. You'll like it. So go move that silly little mouse to your search bar, get on their website and order it. Walker's new acrylic Fourth Street kit is all over it. We've been slow on our end getting up our factory pictures but we've got some studio shots up now. Check 'em out!

Please check them out if you happen to be on the West coast and we'll keep you posted for when they make it out East as well.

Love and marriage,

Fourth Street Drums

¡Hola!

Just a quick little update...

Our longtime homeboy, Cory Goonan (ex-Juniper Sky), is now in a new and upcoming band hailing from Queens, NY (Middle Village, to be exact). They're called Minus Two Degress, they feature other former members of Juniper Sky, and they rock. Be sure to check these metal dudes out, as they just posted a song up on their brand new page:

www.myspace.com/minustwodegrees

In addition, we're currently in the process of finishing up Cory's new snare drum. Keep an eye out for the update/picture, as we'll be sure to put it up when we finish.

Au revoire!

In case no one has noticed, Fourth Street kind of “fell off the map” as they say. Joe has been busy both on the road teching, and tearing sh*t up with our friends in Ink & Lead (www.myspace.com/inkandleadmusic), while Jon is still being a geek in school and doing his thing in Mt. Morning (www.myspace.com/mountmorning). We do apologize for this, but we must let you know that we actually HAVE been active in the world of custom drums! And not only that, but we’re very proud to state that Fourth Street Drum Co. is branching out!

With that said, we’d like to introduce our three newest additions to the FS family: Greg Alsop of Tokyo Police Club, Walker Janelle of Danger Death Ray, and Adam Foster with Of This Colossal Wreck.

Greg and the rest of Tokyo Police Club are an awesome Indie Rock group hailing from Newmarket, Ontario. With awesome hooks and compelling lyrics that are dowsed in poeticism, TPC are definitely a group you all want to check out. (Just make sure you have a dictionary handy!) Catch these guys on tour, as they plan on heading back out as soon as they finishing recording their upcoming record. Also make sure you check out Greg’s brand new Fourth Street snare! (www.myspace.com/tokyopoliceclub)

Walker and his two fellow “troglodytes” in Danger Death Ray are coming out of Portland, Oregon. With an awesome and fun Pop Rock sound, these guys are currently terrorizing basements, houses, and venues all over Oregon! Walker, his two dapper band mates, and his brand new FS snare will be going on tour this summer and later on in the fall throughout the west coast. So, for all of our friends out West- make sure you attend the next DDR show! (www.myspace.com/dangerdeathrayus)

Adam is another fellow Long Islander who has proven to be a great addition to the family. Putting aside the fact that he’s a renown massage therapist (in addition to keeping time for our friends in Of This Colossal Wreck), Adam carries with him an exceptional musical background as an independent drummer. He’s done tons of studio work around the island, and he’s been gigging for a lot of bands in the area. To accent to this, he even holds it down in a Primus cover band dubbed Pudding Time! (www.myspace.com/puddingtimeonline) You all need to make sure you check out their next performance, because, to be quite frank; it’s Primus for God’s sake! Adam is the proud owner of a big and beautiful ebony stain FS snare, of which we’ve dubbed “BLACKZILLA.” Make sure you see this bad boy the next time OTCW plays! (And by “bad boy”, we’re referring to the snare) [www.myspace.com/ofthiscolossalwreck]

Lastly, as a quick side note, we’re currently in the works of making a new snare for our homeboy Cory Goonan, of the late Juniper Sky (R.I.P.). We’ll be sure to update you guys on this in full detail as soon as we’re done with it.

That’s it for now folks, but make sure you keep an eye out for some new products we’ll be making this summer!

Ciao!

Atlantic.

Helllo all.

As you all may have heard or seen, our friends Atlantic have unfortunately called it quits. We're very sad about this, but we are in fact glad to announce that the band members have each taken different directions musically and will be coming out with future projects. So, definitely stayed tuned for that.

As for our homeboy David Catuccio, he has officially joined heavy rockers Heal These Wounds from upstate New York. We're very happy for Dave. He's a brutal drummer, and a great addition to band.

Heal These Wounds will be touring all summer long, so be sure to check them out!

Hellllo Summer.

Yes, yes.
We know, we know.

It's been "forever" since we've last posted a blog, and it has seemed like Fourth Street fell off the face of the drum making world. This is indeed all true. A lot of you have been inquiring about what the dealio is, so here's the quick version..

We wish we could tell you it's because BIG and CRAZY things have been in the works, and that we've been working like mad men on some new products. But the fact of the matter is that personal events and endeavors have unfortunately consumed our lives.

Joe has been touring with our buddies Tokyo Police Club for the past couple of months doing merch and other fun "bitch-duty" activities. Check out the band, and go say hi to Joe! (www.myspace.com/tokyopoliceclub)

Jon, on the other hand, has been playing some shows with our friends in Lion of Ido (www.myspace.com/lionofido), in addition to being uber busy with his academic studies, as he's trying to finish up his degree so he can finally start preaching to middle school and/or high school punks about his spanish-ness and other wonderful spicy latino things.

And on top of all of that, we all have personal things going on such as catching up on celebrity gossip, watching re-runs of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, making trips to Canada, and following the New York Red Bulls 2008 Season.

But, on a more productive note, we did make a sweeeeeet new snare drum for our homegirl Lauren Miller of The Homecoming Queens. With the help of our friend Mike Hernon of Skin Grapht (www.myspace.com/guitargraphics), we were able to make this brand new custom houndstooth wrap for Lauren. We think we did a pretty damn good job, if we don't say so ourselves.

Oh yeah, and here's your homework:
DO THESE THREE THINGS:

1.) Go check out Lauren and The Homecoming Queens, because their fun and loud and they'll make you skank like you did back in the 90's.
2.) Go buy the new ASHES dIVIDE record "Keep Telling Myself It's Alright", because Billy Howerdel is a musical prodigy and the boss (Mr. Josh Freese) laid down the beats.
3.) Incase you haven't heard, STONE TEMPLE PILOTS ARE BACK! Go see them!

Another Homie! / THANK YOU!!!

Yes yes folks. We’d like to announce that our chum Joe Ciatto of Halfway To Hell Club has officially joined "La Fourth Street Familia"!

Aside from the fact that the guys in the band are probably some of the most benevolent and coolest people you’ll ever meet, Joe also proves to be nothing short of a solid and adept player.
Also- did we mention how much FUN it is to see these dudes live?
Grab a beer (or twelve) and go see for yourselves!

As far as his snare is concerned, we are super stoked on two things:

1.) the drum is the very first birch wood product in our catalog

2.) with a very subtle (yet chic) stain, the snare also features hand painted artwork by tattoo artist Rich Muller. We’re very obliged for Rich’s collaboration, and we’d also like to state that he does fantastic ink. We definitely recommend him!

In addition to this report, we would like to sincerely thank all of you who came out last week to our very first drum showcase. Despite the obvious complications within the venue, and the internal issues throughout the program backstage with the bands, we still came out of the show with our heads up and happy to say we were still able to have some fun. AND THAT’S WHAT WE’RE ALL ABOUT!
We do apologize for any/all inconveniences caused to anyone throughout the night, and we promise to make round two better!

Thanks again for all the love and support. It really does mean a lot to us. It makes this all worth while.

But enough sappy sentiments!
Go check out Joe and the rest of the guys in Halfway To Hell Club, and get psyched because the 2008 Major League Soccer season is starting up!

YYYYYYEAH!!!

We’re Alive And Well!

WOW. Has it really been almost three months since we last did an update?!?! GEEZ.

We're terrible at this huh??

In all seriousness folks, despite what it appears, here at the Fourth Street camp things have been really busy and active in the past couple of months (not only for the drummers, but for the staff as well)..

As for the staff, both Joe and Jon decided to start a new musical excursion together dubbed "Mooseknuckle". Joe is singing and playing guitar (yes, JOE is), while Jon will be keeping time in the back. It's a fun little punk rock roller coaster full of whiskey and good times that will be swinging by you very shortly. They'll release some tunes soon.

As for drummers, our homeboy David Catuccio and the rest of of the dudes in ATLANTIC just got out of the studio and will be releasing their highly anticipated second EP "Hands To Praise, Arms To Inspire". It's due to be available at the end of this month. They will be putting up some new tracks on their MySpace very soon, so make sure to check it out! We were able to hear some of the songs, and let us just state- you will NOT be disappointed. If you like their old material, this new EP will enthrall you:

www.myspace.com/atlanticny

As for the company, we've been in the process of working on some new products which will be finished and up for display soon. Also, we're in the midsts of doing some "revamping" (for lack of a better term) as far as the future of the company is concerned. Hopefully, if all goes well, there will be good things to come! One of the more exciting things is our first "Fourth Street Drum Co. Showcase". We're really exciting for this night, and we hope you all come out. Come see some awesome bands play some awesome drums!

Lastly, we're happy to welcome Lauren Miller of The Homecoming Queens to the Fourth Street family. Lauren is a solid player who, along with her band mates, never ceases to provide a fun and energetic show. We're currently in the process of making Lauren's snare which we're stoked about. The band will be touring this summer, so make sure to check them out. Their coming to a city near you!

New Products!!!

So, as mentioned previously, we had finished up some new kits/snares we were working on. And, we're very proud and happy to announce that we've finally posted pictures!

We've added pictures of Cory Goonan's new kit (Juniper Sky), Dan Carey's new "Nintendo Kit" (Independent), and Jon's new snare!!!

As noted in a past update, Cory's set is our biggest one yet (as far as pieces go), and Dan's set is our first "concept drum kit" dedicated to the original Nintendo gaming system. It's a 3 piece kit, which features video game characters from the original Mario Series generation (e.g., Mario, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, Bowser, Toad, Yoshi) on both the rack tom and floor tom. The bass drum itself is the original Nintendo controller! We'd like to eminently thank Matt Zinser from Kaotic Kreations for helping us in designing and making the drum wrap.

Currently, we're in the process of making a snare for our new homeboy David Catuccio (Atlantic), which we're also really pumped about. We've got a lot of great things stirring up here at the Fourth Street camp, so make sure to stay put!

By the way, did we mention that Fourth Street custom drums make EXCEPTIONAL holiday presents?
Cause if we didn't, then we're doing so now.
Nothing says "Merry Christmas, I Love You" more than a Fourth Street kit or snare!
Place your orders now!!!

Another Inclusion!

As mentioned before, here at Fourth Street we've been working on adding some new blood to the family. And in the process, we happened to come across some really cool people from Albany (NY)...

Fourth Street would like to delightedly welcome David Catuccio to the family! David is part of the six member marvel from upstate dubbed Atlantic. Not only are these dudes some of the coolest guys you'll ever meet, but their music is also nostalgic!

With a passion to compose music full of raw emotion; the band's fraught loudness and melodic heaviness produces such a sound, that you can't help but bring yourself back to 2002 (for all you hardcore kids). The atmospheric allure is one that can't be denied!

Do yourselves a favor, and make sure you check out the impressive episode that is Atlantic.

Overdue Update.

So, we're BEYOND overdue for an update. We apologize, but...it's probably ALL my fault (Jon).

In all seriousness, things have been very hectic and prolific over here at the Fourth Street camp. We've finished up Cory's kit (Juniper Sky), and we've also finished a second kit for our homeboy Dan Carey (Independent). Pictures of both these kits will be posted soon.

We're happy to say Cory's 5 piece kit is our biggest one to date! And Dan's kit, in particular, we're really excited about because it's our first "concept drum kit" (more details about the drums will be revealed when we post the picture). For now, all we'll say is that it's based around the staggering and revolutionary Nintendo gaming system!

Aside from that, both Joe and I are also currently working on making ourselves new snare drums. This will be Joe's second personal snare. On the other hand, this will be my very first Fourth Street snare, as I've FINALLY found the time to make myself one (I'm so stoked!).

And finally, in the midst of all this, we're also excited to state that we've been meeting with potentially new Fourth Street drummers. Official statements will be made shortly as to exactly whom will be joining the family, so make sure to keep an eye out!

WE'RE BOMBING THE MUSIC INDUSTRY!!

Not literally guys. Come on. Get serious.

What we're REALLY doing is welcoming homeboy Mike Costa to the family. Aside from being an exceptional drummer, he's part of the Punk/Ska phenomenon called Bomb The Music Industry! , who not only provides comical on-stage banter, but also never fails to play a tight performance.

Let's put it this way folks:

Any band who has a dude who gloriously yells incomprehensibly is okay in our book. ESPECIALLY when the lyrics turn out to be brilliant and witty (after you read the lyrics to find out what the f*ck he's saying).

Check it out for yourselves!

A New Addition!!!

Fourth Street Drum Co. would like to welcome Dan Carey of Welwyn to the family!!

You know you're doing something right when over a year goes by and you still have no demos to offer, or any shows under your belt to talk of; but you're still one of the most anticipated bands to come out of one of the most densely populated scenes in the country. Welwyn is bringing life back to a comatose pop rock scene.

Dan is one of the hardest-hitting drummers we've seen in a very long time (watch out Dave Grohl!). And his aspiration for rocking out behind his kit makes him even more of a joy to watch live.

Make sure to check out this awesome power pop/rock band from Long Island who knows no limits, as they come to a town near you this summer!

That is right dudes and dudettes. Our good friend Mike Costa (also of the Arrogant Sons of Bitches) has been asked to fill in on drums this week for the boys in Catch 22 and he's taking one of our new kits with him. We'll have video and pics very soon.
So please support him and the band and maybe check out some good drums.

ARTIST UPDATE!

Fourth Street Drum Co. would like to welcome and proudly announce a great addition to our roster:
Justin Manas of Stray From The Path !!

Justin is a very talented, young musician with great passion for the art, and we couldn't be happier with adding him to the family.

Make sure to check out this boundary breaking metal/hardcore band whose addictive unpredictability boldly distinguishes them from many other bands out there today.
